The HTML4 standard hasn’t seen a major update for the large majority of its life, even with the release of the XHTML standard. The new HTML5 standard which has been under development since 2004 is now surfacing, with a larger support with modern browsers (including IE9!!).

8 Fresh CSS Tools & Pages
April 20, 2011 by Edd Turtle
In this article I will be talking about some tools and websites I’ve only recently discovered. They may, or may not be new but I think they are very useful and worth sharing with a wider community.
1) 1140px CSS Grid
The 1140px CSS grid is a pre-made CSS frame ready to tackle the age old problem of different screen resolutions – but more than that, it allows your website to happily change for use with mobile devices too. It is free and available at: http://cssgrid.net/

7 Ways to Twitter Heaven
April 17, 2011 by Edd Turtle
1) Update your Status Regularly
Why do people follow you on Twitter? – So they can read your statuses of course therefore try update your twitter status on a regular basis. This should help you gain more followers while also pleasing your current followers. Having said this, you shouldn’t update it too regularly either as this might put people off. I would recommend sticking to between three and six updates a day depending on what they are about.
But Don’t Spam
Contrary to what I have just said, avoid updating your twitter status for the sake of it. Avoid spamming followers with junk meaningless tweets.
